Black Climate Week aims to increase awareness of the disproportionate impacts of the climate crisis and elevate the solutions led by Black climate justice advocates.

Why Black Climate Week?

Climate change is a racial justice issue — it continues to disproportionately impact communities of color, especially Black communities who are exposed to far greater environmental hazards. By recognizing and celebrating the resilience and leadership of these leaders, Black Climate Week serves as a space to amplify these voices and highlight the intersections of racial justice and climate.
